Wandered in on a Sunday night. The place was darn near empty. Settled in at the bar. Claire was our bartender. She was fantastic! We decided to just order a series of appetizers while enjoying some cocktails and the Sunday night sports.
Oysters on the half shell sampler were pretty good. A little on the small side. I prefer the bigger ones personally. Next were the Blackened Shrimp Taquitos. These were tasty. Good flavor and crunch. The Baked Penn Cove Mussels are a must. A different twist on traditional baked mussels.
We decided to venture into sashimi and a roll. The sashimi was average at best. The Lobster Crunchy Roll was a score! We went back to shrimp with the N'awlin's BBQ Shrimp. The shrimp was good but the real treat to this dish is to dunk the bread into the sauce and then place the tomatoes on the bread similar to bruschetta. That was a home run!
Don't forget the Butter Cake!!
