The children section is superb and the customer service is top notch. I searched online for somewhere that had StoryTime for infants and when the results yielded this library I was happy to check out StoryTime. The site states arrive 15mins before to ensure a space which made me nervous, reason being is because I imagined the place to be small since it filled up so fast.
Boy was I WRONG... My sin and I arrived 22 minutes before StoryTime and after parking I noticed some ladies standing at the door with infants so I decided to grab my son and head toward the library. As I approached I read that the library didn't open for about 5 mins so we were basically on time. I began conversing with other moms who were new to the StoryTime like we were and some who had been weekly. As soon as the door unlocked I turned back to look at the lot and there was a line that formed that quickly of moms and babies :-)
The lady seated on the children library side in a elementary old school desk with a list was so friendly as she collected the children names to check them in for StoryTime (once the list full up people are turned away, we were #2 on the list).
While waiting for StoryTime to start I signed my son and I up for library cards as my family is new to NC and haven't signed up for library cards yet. I was not happy to learn that I had to pay $45 because my home was built in Union County. It wasn't due immediately unless I was checking out a book. It was a quick process and while finishing up the librarian came over to collect all the registered babies to lead us (parent and baby) to the StoryTime room. The other librarian was so sweet she said that she'd bring my license and cards to me so I could go get a space.
The room was so colorful and vibrant, the librarian who read for StoryTime was attentive, fun, understanding and just good. The children had a blast and anticipated the next StoryTime.
Great place, they loose a star for the fee
