I am a loyalist. I had a great experience a year ago, so drove 55 miles from home to give them my business again. I had multiple conversations with multiple people there before I made the decision to come back.
I was assured that it would not be a waste of my time etc.
Every single thing I was told was 100% different when I showed up.
Everything.
I get it. I know the sales game. I worked for a dealership. My son worked for multiple dealerships. I've bought vehicles from other Earnhardt locations.
Never again. They completely blew it this time.
They were condescending and rude. They were insulting and argumentative. They talked over me.
The sales rep was less informed of the vehicle I wanted to purchase than I was....and he has worked there 3 years?
I gave them every opportunity to make a sale. To be clear, I came in with the mindset I would be driving away with a new car.
We were not even on the same chapter let alone page. And again. They knew for days prior exactly my situation, stipulations, financials etc. I had ZERO surprises for them. It was like any and all prior conversations ceased to exist.
I know the name of the game is get them in the door, but respect and courtesy go a long way. I don't feel we had that at all. They lost a sale, referrals and respect. I work with people all day everyday and I will happily be sharing my experience all day long. Earnhardt Motors and especially their Peoria Kia branch is not where you want to give your hard earned money to.
