| - I am honored to write a review for the lovely Ms. Kim, owner of this salon.
I have only had the privilege of having her adorn my tresses once - right before a surgery that had me out of commission and not caring about my looks for a while - but I will definitely utilize her skills again! My Mommy has been going to her for a few years now, and I'm always impressed with her turnouts.
I am not a hair fan, but sometimes I try to change it up. Truth be told, my Mom was doing my weaves for me and I was VERY happy with her work... not just because she didn't charge me for labor, but because she is extremely talented, attentive to details, and she made me look great!
She found and researched Kim's work before telling me she was no longer doing my hair. With my lip sticking out and a bit of bitterness, I scheduled an appointment with Kim. She sells hair which is of fabulous quality, I must say. I don't know what I was using before, but Kim's product put all previous bundles I'd raved about previously to shame. Her hair is not cheap, but Kim is excellent at showing her clients how to best care for hers so it can be used multiple times and not over-selling.
I drove my Mommy and I from California to Vegas throughout the evening before my appointment (I can't remember why, though I do remember snow on the sides of the 15 that caused traffic), and we ended up at Kim's without time for me to shower and regroup. I was not the nicest person to meet for the first time when Kim and I first encountered each other. I was sleepy, tired, and hungry, and I'm horrible with just one of those conditions. I'm so thankful my Mom was there to be her pleasantly interactive self because I was done. I was barely speaking, I could hardly keep my eyes open, and I was just a mess. I wasn't even being my normally nosy self by looking at what she was doing and asking questions. Mom trusted her, so I did.
I awoke from my daze with my Mom singing Kim's praises and hastily telling me to open my eyes. Kim handed me a mirror and I was really impressed with how natural my full head weave looked. The color she chose for the hair was close to my natural hue and it all laid down so smoothly and believably. I'm sure my hangry delirium didn't express my more-than-satisfaction with Kim's labor of love, but I saw her just recently and she didn't seem to hold that against me. :D
Unfortunately, I only took one picture of my hair right after it was done and before sleep. My face coloring is off (which is weird because I took it with my cell phone), but it shows the flatness of my hair.
My Mom has trusted her tresses to Kim several times and I am always fascinated with not only how fabulous my Mom's hair looks, but, also, the customer service this entrepreneur extends. My Mom is extremely particular about her everything - especially her hair - and she had to have revisited Ms. Kim at least four times in the two weeks following her most recent appointment in January. She went with questions, concerns, ideas, and Ms. Kim took it all like a champ. She even talked my Mom into getting some lash extensions to "complete" her diva makeover. If my Mommy can go to a hair professional and love her work (which she does), most people will. Kim can match hair color to your preferred shade, and is great at listening to your concerns and asking questions so your 'do fits you!
I am so ecstatic for Ms. Kim owning her own space! Her shop is in a little strip mall with ample parking, and it is a perfect reflection of her... clean, stylish, and simply elegant!
Give her a call!
