Overrated? Probably. This place was honestly lukewarm in taste and service.
Considering the overbearing amount of 5 star reviews this place has, I'm not sure why my experience was so disappointing in comparison.
We ordered the banana nut muffin (free with a check in), the Classic, and the Works skillet. Two tables that were seated after us received their food before we did. We ended up waiting a really long time just for two entrees. But we brushed it off considering there could be many factors at play.
The Classic had three slices of bacon that resembled rubber. They were not crispy at all. I didn't like the seasoning of Hablo Diablo potatoes as I felt the seasoning was overbearingly strong. I felt like there was hardly any meat and a WHOLE lot of potatoes.
We drank all our water and tried to get our waitress's attention. After five minutes or so, I flipped the egg to yellow (meaning we would like attention). Our waitress glanced at our table and proceeded to walk away. Another waitress promptly flipped it back to black and asked what we needed. When I said we needed a refill she said okay and proceeded to chat with the table next to us. She never bothered to grab our waters. Finally, our waitress asked what it was that we needed earlier and finally got us water.
Also guess what? Never got the banana nut muffin.
Sorry, but there are way too many delicious breakfast eats like Babystacks Cafe or Black Bear Diner (with their huge portions) for me to ever come back.
