  • Happy Burstday to Nikki! This was totally worth hauling my butt up to Huntersville. Off-topic, but can I mention the number of charter schools and tutoring facilities surrounding Pinky's? I counted 5 within a 3-block radius. I had trouble getting to a parking place- not because there weren't any, but because I got stuck behind 3 minivans waiting to pick up their kids from Mathletes or whatever next door. Who goes to a burger place and talks about the vegetables? This girl. While I spotted those White Trash sliders a mile away, I also thoroughly enjoyed the hummus, veggie sticks, and fried- wait, was it cauliflower or artichokes? Whatever it was, it was delicious. I'm a carnivore but I'm on board with veggie options at future events. Thanks to Sailor Jerry and Sierra Nevada for the booze, I really enjoyed the cocktails, and the tiny samples were a creative way to get us to try new things. Want to try this teeny cup of free liquor? Ok! And I also loved the swag we got in our Yelp cups- who DOESN'T need beer lip balm? I'm serious, it's my new favorite flavor. Thanks for a great year Nikki, and I hope you have many more! Give me a high five, with your good arm.
