The dinner group met here after the restaurant reached out to us about scheduling an event there. The scheduling process was flawless and I was really impressed with the staff.
The restaurant is actually quite large. There is a bar area right inside the door and then a back dining room. There is also an upstairs to the place.
I understand this is a locally based chain and with that being said, I was quite disappointed with the beer selection. Yes, they had craft beer but mostly in bottled form. There were NC beers represented but the only Charlotte beer available was OMB's Copper on draft. Not much selection for hop heads like me. How about some NoDa beers, Triple C or Birdsong?
Foodwise, this is where they shine. The food was wonderful. I had the Queen City Chicken which is sausage stuffed chicken wrapped in bacon -- a carnivore's dream! It was quite tasty. Their brussels spouts are amazing also -- deep fried and tossed with parmesan cheese and bacon!
The other downside to this place is the noise level. It is extremely loud where I could barely hear the people sitting directly across from me.
Service wise, our server was great with one exception. My beer was a Dale's Pale Ale which comes in a can. It would have been nice if she thought to bring a glass with the beer without me having to ask for one. Drinking beer out of a can is only acceptable at picnics and NASCAR events, never at a restaurant.
