We were walking around the Wynn which though beautiful and stunning, it had a weird vibe. It was really empty while we were there, which is strange because it was a holiday weekend. We decided to have dinner there and Red 8 seemed like a good option (and one of the more affordable ones). We went up to the host and asked for a table for 2 and were so surprised to hear that it was a 20 minute wait. The hotel was so quiet and empty! We played a few slots to kill some time and when we went back only 15 minutes later, we were seated right away ... in a half empty restaurant! That already had my eyes rolling and then the rest of the night seemed to drag. It took awhile to get our order placed, waited some more for the food to come out, our waiter seemed to disappear when we wanted our check and we had to ask 2 different people before it finally came. It just didn't have the service I'd expect from a nicer hotel. And I really don't know what they were trying to prove with the wait-time when the restaurant was half empty.
Now as for the food, I had the dan dan noodles with pork which was just OK. The portion could have been bigger (compared to my husband's similar-to-spicy-Thai basil noodles which was a large portion) and I barely had any pork.
