| - i got conned into buying a detail job at a location that was closing (I was unaware). Certainly, just a couple of weeks before they closed, they knew, but did not hesitate to sell me a detail i'd have to drive out of my way for. If I had known, I never would have bought it.
I ended up selecting the Peoria location as being the closest. Upon check in, I was told my car had small scratches and it would not do any good to do the other service without buying a speed buff for $100. Like an idiot, I agreed. While waiting in the lobby, I talked to another customer who had the same situation. She came in with a voucher from buying a detail at another location (or time) and then was told that she also needed the scratches buffed out. She was only charged $50 for the speed buff - our receipts were identical, except the price.
I went up to the cashier and asked why we were charged differently for the same service. She said it's a different price based on the car. I said I have a small 2-door car. Then she sent me to talk to someone else (god forbid she could page a manager). He gave me the excuse that since I paid less for the original detail, they needed to charge me more for the buff. The other customer I spoke with also had told me that they were forcing her to use her voucher later because they did not want her to use it in December (sounds like financial reasons).
They also have massage chairs ('coin operated' in the lobby. If you sit in one without paying, it sounds an alarm!) - what a nice touch!
In the end, the service was decent, but I don't like the way they conduct business and won't be back.
