I am visiting the University of Toronto and this is the best location for that purpose. The room itself is clean and quiet and equipped as you would expect for a holiday in: nothing fancy but good enough for a few days. I stayed at the Courtyard Inn last time and it was nicer, but further, and for all the time I actually spend in a hotel, all that really matters is that the bed is sleepable, the shower is functional, and it conveniently located to where I need to go and some cafes open late. So this hotel satisfies that without excelling in any dimension.
The parking is confusing and there are no signs. Go to the back of the building via the tiny alley next to the foot entrance and then drive down the ramp on your left towards the wall. The wall will lift when you stop in front of it. Then park...and remember your license plate number because you'll need that at check in. There are no signs for any of this. There aren't even signs on the garage that it is for Holiday Inn. But that's how it works. And it costs $22 per day.
