There was a lot of hype about the Aquarium and was hoping that it did not disappoint. I have only been here once, and enjoyed the experience. I look forward to coming back.
I am not a fan of crowds or children, so I decided to come on a Friday evening. One Friday a month they will through an event called "Jazz at the Aquarium". While children are allowed, there certainly aren't as many. You can enjoy a glass of wine or beer and walk around to see the exhibits.
Some of my favourite exhibits were the polka dot stingrays (don't remember their scientific name), the moving floor tunnel and the coloured jellyfish tanks.
Their gift shop has some neat things. But like most gift shops, unfortunately, the prices are absurd.
I've kept an eye on their website for other events and have noticed some interesting ones that I think would be enjoyable such as yoga, sleepovers and the Queer night at the Aquarium. I'm a big fan of the unique events, because I find that those will draw me in more than just going to the Aquarium a bunch of times to exhibits I've already seen.
