Had seen this place on Check Please so decided to try it on my birthday. I'm glad my boyfriend and I did. The customer service was good and the food was even more amazing. I was a little iffy about trying soul food because it is hard to fine when you're not in the south but this place sure proved me wrong. The wait was a little long but it was worth it and don't let the decor fool you. I got the two piece chicken, collard greens, and sweet potatoes. The chicken was juicy and the skin was crispy which I was surprised because it's hard to find when it comes to white meat. The collard greens were seasoned just right and the sweet potatoes... can you get me a big bucket of it please. My boyfriend had the green beans on the side and those were amazing as well. We tasted a little hint of sweetness and vinaigrette of some sort, it was different but in a good way. Would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for good soul food.
