  • Overall, 3.5 stars The Village Grocer is a beautiful grocery store. Every perishable grocery sold is the frestest. The meat / protein area is clean (no smell). The bakery counter is the best among all grocers in Markham. The ready-to-eat section carries gourmet food suitable for lunch and dinner. The in-store cafe serves coffee that is good enough. The only issue I have is with the boxed and bottled groceries. They are way overpriced. I can easily find the exact same item (same brand, same size) in other stores at lower prices. Hence, if you are looking for the best, I suggest that you purchases the perishable groceries and baked items here and buy the non-perishable items at other stores.
