After eating at Bandung several times, I have one take home message for you, and it is the following:
GET THE TEMPEH!
It doesn't matter what style or dish you get the Tempeh in, because it will be great either way. The Krakatau is fried tempeh in a sweet sauce, and it rocks. The Oseng Oseng is the Tempeh in a more traditional stir fry, and it rocks. The Sate Tempe is skewered smoked tempeh, and it rocks. They just know how to cook with the stuff, and that's what makes Bandung so much more appealing for me over similar cuisine restaurants. They also have a good beer selection, decent cocktails, and a consistently pleasant wait staff. So Bandung for sure makes it into my restaurant rotation, and for good reason!
