I usually never go to buffets in Vegas however we got comped the buffet at the Mandalay so we basically had to go here. The food is mediocre. They also basically false advertise the prime rib. They don't always have prime rib, the day we went they had something called steamship. I had never heard of this cut of meat before but me as a surgical anatomist and an aspiring butcher I looked into it. Steamship is the top round cut of meat with the femur bone included. This is a lean, cheap primal cut of meat. This is very very different than prime rib. It still tasted good but it is not prime rib. The crab legs were salty and scrawny. Overall disappointing however most buffets disappoint me anyways.
