This is an alright science museum, not the best I've ever seen, but not the worst either. Some of the exhibits seemed a little dated and weren't terribly interactive or hands on. Lots of reading required. I did however like the omni-max. It's different from an imax, just make sure you sit up high or you're going to be hurting your neck like we did. The place is right on the water making for nice views and there was a neat looking boat that included in the price tag but unfortunately it was closed the day we were there (Monday). My favorite part of the museum was the traveling frog exhibit. Very cool to see live, beautiful types of frogs from all over the world including poison dart frogs.
If you are coming from out of town I recommend taking a look to see if any of the museums or gardens you are a member of offer reciprocal admission. We realized after we had shelled out the steep admission price that we could have visited for free. However, it is also good to note that they offer student and teacher discounts as well as child and senior.
