Ok here is another hidden gem in montreal... this place is truly a prime example of a family that's passionate of there authentic taste and quality found in their pastries. This family from France (Nice) started this shop a year and half ago even having a success business prior. There passion for good quality product which clearly lacks in Montreal general supermarkets. There homemade bread is made fresh every morning with Organic Leaven flour also known as sour dough and ZERO yeast. That's why they are not open early in the morning.
There baguettes are amazing and have just the right crunch in the outside. The almond croissant was made with fresh almond paste. Given I went in the evening I found it a bit dry, but the flavors were good. I do miss the traditional french croissant that melt in your mouth with that butter taste.
The chouquette are one of the best in the city.. challenge accepted if u find better!
What I find truly amazing is all that's left at the end of the day is given away.. nothing goes to waist.
They also deliver to some restaurant and schools.
