This was my 8th or 9th escape room and it is definitely one of my favorites. I booked a room at Codescape based off of recommendations from other escape room enthusiasts. I really appreciated the concept and intricacy of the room itself and it was certainly the most elaborate room I've experienced! We had several people in the group and made it out with seconds to spare. The puzzles were well thought out and just the right level of challenging, especially for beginner players (I was the only one out of 11 people that had done an escape room before). There was one puzzle in particular that was very frustrating because of its degree of inaccuracy, but our game master helped us after seeing that we were struggling with it for a while. I think we only specifically asked for one or two hints during the game, but the game master helped us to escape in time which was greatly appreciated.
As a fan of having all the parts create a whole picture, the beginning part of the experience could be improved. The lobby area was sparse, like an after thought after pouring time and effort into the escape rooms themselves. I felt that it gave the space an unfinished vibe. The bathrooms could have been much cleaner. And having a better place for a photo-op would have been nice.
All in all, though, this is a place I would revisit to try other rooms for sure and I was extremely impressed with the set design of the Shipwrecked room!!
