  • I'm more than displeased with the care of my animal at this shelter. Upon finally receiving my pet he was completely emaciated with his spine protruding from his back. I say finally because they kept my dog for longer than I was told he needed to be there, the date we were supposed to get him back we were told that he couldn't be released until he was neutered. That I had no problem with, it's the law, the problem I had is that this particular issue could have been addressed days prior before my family & I wasted a 30 minute drive in hopes of finally reuniting our pet with his home after a week when his initial stay was supposed to be 4 days. Another issue I had with this shelter is that my phone call was never answered no matter which department I was trying (I attempted them all so desperate to find out some details of what is going on with my pet) & my messages never returned. I would not recommend this shelter for boarding or the care of your animal. I will continue to go to Dewey Animal Shelter.
