| - I'm a fan of this place. Decor is beautiful, with a cool industrial/suave (totally invented that term) vibe and warm lighting. Dishes are hearty and diverse. I attended with a party of 3, and our table was a little to big for us. If your party is between 2 and 5 people, prepare for an awkward seating arrangement. Furthermore, our waiter and busboy were both a little awkward, and uninformed on some features of the menu. Not a huge issue, everyone at my table found their farces pretty funny anyway. These two are my only "negative criticisms" of the experience, if that.
We started with the crab cake and the sheep's milk gnudi. The crab cake was delectable, and far more crab than cake, which speaks to the high quality of the establishment. I usually don't like sheep's milk, but the gnudi was not too sour for me, and it's balsamic sauce complimented it very well. I had the Gerber Farms Chicken, which was absolutely delicious. The white meat of the chicken wholesome and juicy, and the meat from its leg was mixed into the risotto, the swiss chard functioned as a perfect counter to the heavy starch and protein. The bird was locally sourced from a farm in Ohio. Fresh is best! My girlfriend ordered the Red Snapper, and her mom ordered Swordfish. both tasty.
If you like chocolate, ORDER THE CANDY BAR. Beautiful plating and balance of chocolates, caramels and peanut butter. Perfect to share for 2 or 3, or have it to yourself if your'e brave enough.
Eleven is a great experience for a sit down meal, or bar vibe. I will be eating here a 3rd, if not 4th time in the future!
