rev:text	If you do your research on this hotel then you'll be either pleasantly surprised or unpleasantly befuddled :-). The hotel has great room rates but is nearly amenity free. No refrigerators, microwaves, or reliable air conditioning for standard rooms. But you get what you pay for. The ambience though was quite incredible. I felt like I had walked through Alice's looking glass. The artwork and Decour from the foyer to the bar and each hallway and hotel room was very eclectic and fascinating. A must for all art loving buffs. The rooms are very basic and there are some obvious flaws in things like the carpet, tile, and faint negative smell... Reminiscent of a very old musty hotel. But all in all it was a pretty cute environment. I would have given it 4 stars if the environment was a little more pristine. The hotel staff was genuinely nice and respectful. The in-house bar for the Artisan hotel was way too overpriced. I mean like nine dollars a bottle of bottom shelf beer overpriced. Don't even bother with ordering shots just bring your own bottle. You'll save a ton of money. Aside from the ambience and general cool vibe of the hotel there's one hidden gem called Barcelona which is the in-house restaurant which for all intents and purposes is a complete departure from the actual hotel itself as far as vibe and ambience. Do you research when looking at this hotel because it is a party hotel and they do have club nights that range and very in intenseness (loudness). But overall, thank you so much to the staff at the Artisan hotel for making our non-traditional Christmas weekend a memorable experience.
