| - I have to give this amazing steakhouse 5 stars. I decided to take my boyfriend out for dinner to celebrate his birthday & we chose this place which has been in Vegas for 37 years (!) located in the Four Queens casino downtown.
Upon being seated, the host gives every female a single, long-stem perfect red rose which you can place in an individual case on your table.
We ordered the Hugo's Hot Rock Specialty for Two ($36) as an appetizer in which the server brings out a 500 degree sizzling slab of granite. He then cooks chicken, filet, ahi, and shrimp on it & leaves it on your table. It was delicious.
For the main courses, we ordered the Filet de Boeuf- Atlantis ($65) and the rack of lamb ($56).
The Atlantis is a gigantic, thick filet wrapped in bacon & served over lump crab meat with béarnaise sauce. It comes with sautéed mushrooms, mashed potatoes, green & white asparagus (there's white asparagus??) and two crab claws.
The rack of lamb is marinated in olive oil, garlic & Rosemary & served with an Indonesian style sauce.
The filet was tender & delicious. I ordered mine with a bleu cheese crust ($3) which I try to get whenever I eat steak. The lamb was also very good.
All entrees come with bread, table-side salads (try the honey-orange-walnut vinaigrette!) which is the best salad I've ever had, and a sorbet to cleanse your palette before the main course. You also get chocolate dipped strawberries with house-made whipped cream, white chocolate dipped baby figs, and chocolate dipped dried apricots.
Service was good, and for the price, you get a lot of food. We'll definitely be coming back here.
