Before I give this review I will say I grew up by a very old town Amish German town in the Midwest.
I love German food and in Arizona you can count on one hand that you get it here in the valley. I used to go to this place in the early 2000's and it used to be a once a month treat for us poor Airman stationed at Luke. We sat at the bar and service was excellent. I ordered the Sauerbraten and my wife order the Jagerschnitzel. The schnitzel was nicely prepared and gravy was excellent. The Sauerbraten did not seem to have been marinated, or if it was it wasn't marinated for very long. It was very dry and overcooked but the gravy was spot on! The SpƤtzle was also good just a little under seasoned. Great beer on tap and great ambiance. I don't mind paying for food when it's great, I was just hoping that their featured menu item had a little more quality control.
