  • This was a decent place to stay in Champaign. We were looking for a dog friendly hotel and this fit the bill. The one time non refundable pet fee is $75 but it was worth it for the extra space and newer amenities offered compared to other hotels in the area. Pet fee was actually cheaper than Marriott properties! The location is convenient as there is a grocery store in the adjacent parking lot and a burger joint, pizza place, and Starbucks across the parking lot. Check in is easy and they have complimentary breakfast with a good variety of foods including hard boiled eggs, premade omelets, make your own waffles, cereal, and a variety of breads. One set of elevators for the entire hotel so you will do some walking if you're at the other end of the hallway. Indoor pool for kids and a fitness studio with spin bikes. Free WiFi. Room: they are suites with a full dishwasher , fridge and microwave. Very convenient if you have young kids or babies and need to feel like you're at home. They also have a sink for you. The room itself has a couch that pulls out and then a queen bed (or two if you pick a double bed room). There is a divider to separate beds from the couch/lounge area. Although the curtain was reminiscent of a hospital curtain. Bathroom has stand up shower and they offer the usual amenities. Our dog was comfy and so were we. Wished the cleaning staff did a better job because we found strands of hair in the extra linens provided in the closet and the pocket door to the bathroom was stained and gross. Otherwise can't complain. It's not a five star hotel but comparable to the other suite hotels, just with a dishwasher. Would recommend for families, people who want to travel with their own food, and groups. Would not suggest for couples because it's loud and the trash bags lay around outside people's rooms and in front of the elevators (doesn't quite suggest a getaway). About 5-10 mins off 74 so easy to find.
