| - I really think this is the best Heinen's in the area - huge store, wide open aisles, nice cafe. Never seems too crowded. Wonderful produce, often from local farms. Staff is always friendly and helpful, rarely crowd aisles with stacks of boxes. Never had anyone ram me with their cart (like they do in other parts of the city).
I love the bakery bread here, the sushi is good, and the cornbread is delicious. Chicken always seems to be on sale. Nice, clean salad bar and some made-to-order sandwiches, stir-fry, pasta dishes. Lots of other ready to eat, potato salad, pizzas, sandwiches, etc. Seems to have a large wine & liquor selection.
My only complaint (with all Heinen's, really) is the lack of self checkout lanes, the fact that you can't take your cart to the parking lot with you (they have a valet cart system and load the groceries into your car for you). This causes me to buy too much and try to carry it out to the car by hand which results in "heinen's elbow."
