| - Very mixed feelings about the MGM Grand Hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and courteous, and the hotel is quite pretty with a lot of fantastic offerings but there were a lot of issues.
First night, I check in, get up to my room and there are used fake eyelashes on the floor. YUCK. Then, the drain in the tub was stuck closed so I could take a bath, but not a shower. It took me calling 3 times for anyone to come up to fix the issue. Next day, switched rooms. Second room was same size, but with chairs instead of a couch. Ok, cool, that wasn't a big deal.
Ordered room service for breakfast one morning, and it took 2 hours to get to our room, and then was so bland and flavorless that I didn't want to finish eating it despite being super hungry. $86 for a horrible breakfast... ugh.
So, then we booked a massage appointment and tried to move it when our plans changed. They charged us $300 to cancel the appointment... on top of the actually cost of the massage. WHAT?! EXCUSE ME?? Imagine my shock when I open my credit card statement and see an extra $700 charge!! Not ok. Thankfully, they have since reversed the charges since there was no video of us signing a receipt in the spa.
The people watching was fantastic, and overall I enjoyed my stay. I think next time I visit Vegas, I'll try a different hotel though.
There are a bunch of bars and restaurants within the hotel, ranging from $-$$$$, plus shows and a world class club (Hakkasan). We easily could have stayed just on MGM Grand property for several days without ever seeing the sky, as there's just that much to keep you occupied.
