rev:text	Just visited this gem last night with my family and there's a 150% chance that we'll be back! My mom heard about Midwood on one of those cooking shows that she watches so she wanted to check it out. Needless to say, 2 years passed and we still hadn't even looked the place up yet. We finally committed to coming yesterday and were met with the most unimaginable aroma of woodchips and spices- we were outside waiting and I just couldn't wait to get my hand on some of this food! We had the smoked wings for an appetizer and I have to say that those were the best wings I've had in Charlotte. We ordered our sauces on the side and I'm not very sure what all of them were but my favorite was the habanero. I had the Carolina pork plate with smoked vegetables and I honestly kicked myself for not ordering the large plate. The pork was so moist and seasoned to freaking perfection. The pickled onions paired with the meat perfectly and the hush puppies were fresh. My mom ordered the rib special that's going on this week and she said that she wished she had ordered the whole rack instead of half! My father had the brisket and had no complaints (which is a VERY good thing). My husband had the Cuban and he said it was really good. It was his first time having a Cuban so he didn't really have anything to gauge it on but it was really good from what I tasted. It's pretty safe to say that from a first experience this tasty, Midwood is definitely going to become a family staple for us.
