2.5 stars. Decent sushi, not as good as Shimogamo. A less-hip Sushi Eye, perhaps? Chairs are uncomfortable and the furnishings a little dated and tacky (literally - our table was sticky!). Might be nice on a night when you can sit outside at the edge of the lake.
We had a variety of rolls and Nigiri. The surf clam was pretty gross (tasted fishy-I nearly gagged), but everything else was pretty solid. Tempura and edamame (nice and warm) were really good, but it's hard to go wrong there. Wait staff was nice enough, not overly attentive. I had to ask a couple of times for more to drink. Sushi chef had wild hair and no hat, which was a little disconcerting. We were there until they turned off the music at 10:40 (they close at 10).
Might give them a try for lunch sometime, but no more surf clam for me!
