  • Oh my goodness! Where do I begin. We came here last night for my birthday dinner (middle of the week birthdays suck btw lol) and boy was I impressed. Before I even get into details, I've driven past this place numerous times and never realized it was even there. It's truly a little hidden gem. You will miss it if you focus on all the sketchy looking places you're driving past. Now as we drove down south blvd and away from uptown...my hopes of eating a good steak started to diminish. When we turned into the beef & bottle I almost didn't know what to think or feel. From the outside it looks an old cowboy hang out spot. You walk in and it's like your back in the 1950's. The lighting is dim and the walls are covered with photos of old school artists and musicians. Fast forward a little bit...to the food. We started with French onion soup - it was delicious. We each ordered our entrée - I like how they automatically come with a salad and a side (this will run you $10-$15 in other high end steakhouses). You get a plate of lettuce with all your other salad items on a little side platter. You get to basically build your own salad the way you like it. Oh, easy on the tomatoes? No problem - don't add them in lol. The STEAK - I had the rib eye. Words cant even begin to descried how perfect it was. Perfect cut of meat, perfectly cooked...just PERFECT! I was very hesitant at first but I also added a lobster tail to my entrée for $19. That may sound expensive for a lobster tail but I wouldn't hesitate to order it again the next time. The lobster tail was HUGEEEEE. I hate mentioning other restaurants while writing reviews...however, I ordered some sort of truffle shruffle mumbo jumbo lobster tail at Flemmings when I ate there the other week and the darn thing was around $14, 1/3 of the size and no where as good as the one I had last night. We shared a bottle of wine throughout dinner and a desert after our meal. (The lesson here: GET THE LOBSTER TAIL!) The Service: We were seated as soon as we got there (reservation) and our server was awesome. Constantly checking in to make sure everything was ok. Long story LONGGGG, Beef & Bottle gets two thumbs up from me. I'm already planning on when I can go back. Don't let the 3.5 stars or $$$ scare you away. Give it a try, it's worth every penny you spend. I'm certain you will enjoy this place!
