This a great hike for everyone. The trail isn't too difficult. The best part for me and my teenage daughter was going off trail and climbing the cool rock formations. There are all kinds of little boulders, caves, and slots to explore. Lots of fun.
We went on a Saturday and the trail got crowded and noisy at times.
The scenery is great. At the top, if you can make it past the "tank", you get a view of Las Vegas.
Red Rocks is beautiful and full of great hikes. While only half an hour away, it is a great respite from the insanity of the strip.
The following day we went an hour north-east to Valley of Fire park. The scenery there is even more spectacular, the rock scrambling is better, but the hiking is not as good.
