| - Not going back. This place is way over-hyped. When we arrived we were promptly seated upstairs. The atmosphere is really interesting and fun. We were seated at a table barely large enough for a couple of plates. And, we were seated next to another couple whose table was less than 6 inches from ours. This may not have been an issue except that we were two of only about eight customers in the entire place (about 6pm on Friday).
Our appetizers were good. We ordered the mixed salad, quinoa tabouleh, and beet slider. Again, all tasty. We also ordered a couple of beers and were promptly told they were out but they had a replacement. So, we ordered the replacement only to find out the beer was twice as expensive. Five beers, $40.
Our main course was NOT GOOD. It tasted like salt had been molded into various shapes and colors. We ordered the Terriaki Tofu and don't recommend it. This was our first visit so I'm not sure if all the main courses are this salty. But ours was bordering on inedible.
Again, we were seated right on top of neighboring customers so we were eager to pay our bill and go have a drink or two down at the bar. I had a full beer remaining from dinner and took it with me. We got to the bar and my wife ordered a drink. We finished our drinks and attempted to flag down a bartender for nearly 20 minutes before we got their attention. When the bill arrived, they charged me again for the beer I brought down from dinner. I told them I had already paid for that drink. One of the bar tenders gave me a dirty look and spoke to two other bar tenders. I guess they were "investigating" the issue. Anyway, 15 minutes later, a manager adjusted our bill. It was really nice being treated like we were trying to get away with something.
Long story short. This place is average at best, service is hit and miss, and with the number of other great places in town, we won't be going back.
