My granddaughter started in the infants room. Our concerns with a center was cleanliness and teacher consistency. The center met those expectations until she reached the three's room. Joe was the center director and he was great. He always acknowledged me, knew my grandaughters name. The staff was wonderful too. Miss Laverne was the best. Always felt comfortable in her classroom. She referred to all the children as her "babies". As my grandaughter moved on to her age group rooms she always had to say good night to Miss Laverne. Did I mention Miss Lavrene was great! Other staff to mention that made that center was Miss Jackie, Miss Raven, Aldonna and Austin. Then something happened Joe was gone and we had no permanent director. Then new director came on and the staff was gone one by one. I was surprised Miss Lavrene was gone after being there for a few years. I did let the director know they lost a wonderful teacher and person. Of course she could not discuss. I brought to her attention the three's room was out of control the teacher needed help. The kids were literally climbing the walls. I was told there were more boys then girls but the ratio was correct. That did not sit well with me. We saw a change in our granddaughter's behavior. Other mothers told me of curled milk and molded bread. When picking her up I was never sure what room she was in and who her teacher was as those faces seemed to change daily. The rooms seem to be messy and dirty. Glad she has moved on to to a center that teaches instead of just babysitting.
