The reviewer Emily F sums up the experience of this salon accurately. I usually get my brows waxed because it's a convenient and close alternative to home. It's completely true that the woman just sits on the side of the chair, starts on your brows without saying a word to you. It might very well be her discomfort in speaking English bc it's not great, but if you're in the service business, you have to make every attempt to make your customers feel welcomed. Needless to say, if you're looking for great customer service this is obviously not the place.
One of my biggest issues with this salon is that it's not sanitary. I had gotten a manicure and pedicure once and even brought my own tools and asked them to use it. The responded that my tools were not good. Fair enough, I bought them from my local drugstore. To appease me, they took out brand new tools from their packaging so that I could see they were clean. I was however disappointed to see that once they were done doing my nails, they tossed the tools in a drawer at one of the nail stations and not into a cleaning solution or chamber. Never got my nails done there since then.
As for eyebrows, same thing. I have to tell the woman not to use the dirty razor blade she uses on everyone else's brows on mine. She only uses it for the top of your brows and she doesn't clean it!!! I've waited and watched her place that blade down after each customer without any regard for cleaning it. What kills me is that she always seem so surprised when I say no to the blade. In the end she waxes both top and bottom of my brows; the way I want it.
You would think with these negative reviews, they wouldn't have a good following. Surprisingly they do. The salon is packed on the weekends. I suppose for some the lack of good customer service and mediocre sanitary practices are not a big deal.
