I think this place was A LOT of hype. We ordered basic items that you typically cannot go wrong with in a southern or in this case "Louisiana style" kitchen. I ordered shrimp and grits while a friend of my opted for the catfish platter.
The shrimp were the star of the show for my meal, they were seasoned beautifully and tasted great. However, the grits were a huge disappointment, I ordered this plate for the grits especially and they were caked in some overly creamy and slightly tarte cheese that made them incredibly hard to enjoy on there own. The sausage around the grits were boring but helped the flavor of the grits when eaten together. We had sides of greens which were dry and incredibly tarte. The potato salad was simply okay.
The catfish my friend ordered was pretty good, but definitely overpriced ($14.50) for one piece of fish!
