I've enjoyed my coffees at Skimos, especially the thoughtfulness of serving my drink in a ceramic mug when I'm staying put instead of taking it to go.
I do wish the owner would relax just a bit (as mentioned in other reviews). It's a turnoff for me when a small business owner has signs shouting the rules of the house. I understand that it is his business, but I don't want to feel chastised when I walk into a place. (Remember the Golden Spoon on Horizon Ridge?! No thanks to that atmosphere.) It's fairly accepted that, in business, you have to spend money to make money and you're not likely to make money the first couple of years--so let people feel as welcome as possible to sit and stay awhile. They'll either order another drink or a snack or Come Back the next time they need a friendly spot to drink coffee, read, work, study or catch up with a friend.
