| - To me, this restaurant seems considerably overpriced. Maybe I will feel better about eating in next time instead of getting takeout though.
Mapo Tofu was weird, like a cornstarch-thickened sweet tomato soup, lightly spicy, with almost nonexistent meat. I like the Mapo Tofu at Grand Sign Kitchen nearby a lot more, they use bigger shreds of pork than any of my dishes here had, bigger tofu, less and different sauce.
Could barely tell the difference between the $11 Japchaebap and $19 Gochu Japchae, the more expensive one was in a different container but the portion looked pretty much the same. The pork is cut tissue-thin. For the amount of cost, every entree should come with side dishes, not just 1 set of tiny tubs for the whole order. The flavoring on everything was very mild (which may be to your taste). On the plus side, everything tasted fresh and light, no 'old oil' taste. Every dish we ordered has lots of onions to make the portions look bigger and one of the side dishes is onions. Perhaps I would enjoy one of the fried pork dishes more, or soup. I feel like this place has potential to be better.
