  • Heard this is a hotspot in downtown Charlotte so checked it out on a recent visit. Was not at all disappointed. Very friendly and organized front of the house despite a very loud and slightly chaotic open concept bar and dining area. We were a bit early so started at the bar. I had the "new" fashioned, which was good but not any better than a well made "old" fashioned. We ordered the tasting menu with wine pairings which was delightful, and added a couple of extra courses so we could have some items not on the tasting menu. Only slip up was that I asked for the Tokaji instead of the moscato for the dessert course, and they gave me the moscato anyway. Lot of good options in Charlotte, but I will be happy to visit 5Church again.
