| - The food was flavorful. We had the nachos, the fish and chips, the shepherd's pie, a salad, and the butter chicken. Also the sticky toffee pudding was good. I've been to every pub style restaurant in Las Vegas, and this was at least as good if not better than all of them. I love British food, having lived in England for some years, and was looking forward to having a British experience. My husband has lived in Canada and was looking forward to authentic fish and chips.
The wait staff were efficient. They did their jobs well, and the service was prompt.
We had looked up the menu online before arriving, but when we arrived, the menu seemed to be pared down from what we were expecting. That was a slight disappointment. Even though the quality was good, it wasn't on par with the cost of the meal. We had heard this so we were expecting it, and we thought it might be worth it if it truly reminds us of London. While I'm not sorry that we went, we won't be back. I don't think it's the type of place that relies on repeat business.
One more comment about the wait staff: My husband and I always tip 20%. We feel that if you can't afford to tip, don't eat out. If something is wrong, a comment to the manager or on Yelp is far more effective than stiffing a wait person. Our waiter made a comment about money. It was a deliberate reminder to tip, and it was crass. I'm sorry if the waiter gets stiffed sometimes and feels it necessary to drop hints about tipping, but it's not my problem. This is a common practice on the strip, and it's one of the reasons I rarely like to go there.
