This was the worst experience that I have ever had with customer service. Two of my friends and I were staying there in order to catch early flights from Pittsburgh to Los Angeles and one of my friends booked online. Online they told him $65 per room per night. We were not looking for something great, but a clean place to stay.
When we arrived, the woman at the front desk informed us that the rooms would be $350 for both rooms. That is a slightly higher price than what we were told.
After trying to get her to see that we booked for $65 per night she would not budge. I called the Holiday Inn down the street and asked for two rooms there. She would not cancel our rooms without charging $175 on my friend's credit card. She said it was policy.
We went back and forth. We were very calm and respectful (two of us are pastors, the other is a ruling elder (leader) in a conservative Presbyterian Church). She told us that she would not refund the money and then went on a tirade against us!
She used the most foul language that I have ever heard in my life. She threatened to call the police on us. She raised her fists and was going to fight us- all while using God's name and throwing F bombs right and left. She was absolutely mad! Crazy was in her eyes!
She would NOT refund the money and we eventually ended up staying there because my friend did not want to lose the $175. She gave us the $65 rate after about 40 minutes of hate filled rage. She said her calculator was wrong!
No apologies. No free shuttle (I paid $16 for a cab to the airport). No anything.
DO NOT STAY HERE unless you want to be verbally assaulted and hear God's name dragged through the mud while your character is attacked under the threat of physical violence.
Stay at the Holiday Inn down the street. For $30 more you get customer service, a cleaner room, and you are allowed to be treated with decency and respect.
Under the photos section of the America's Best Value you can see a photo of the woman who raged on us. Pretty sad. I hope she finds Jesus.
