The name for this adorable shop - nailed it! It's so whimsical and girly.
They have all sorts of baked goodness, (even baked goodness for pups) as well as coffees, teas and I think I might have read they had ice cream in the window? I was zeroed in on the gigantic macarons, so I didn't pay much attention to much else! If you've ever had a macaron somewhere else, they're usually tiny. These are almost the size of my HAND! It proved to be almost too big - it could have been half the size and been perfect. But I'm not one to complain that a cookie is too big! You just might want to share with someone if you can't stomach a lot of sugar like this ol' gal.
The woman behind the counter was sweet, like the goodies that were in my grubby little hands. I got 2 macarons - strawberry and vanilla (I believe they also had a chocolate one) and a salted caramel chocolate chip cookie - which is perfectly soft and a little gooey in the middle. Yes....3 cookies. Don't judge. All delicious. I heard they had frozen ones? Or am I just making that up? If so, getting that next time!
I wish I'd purchased one of their bags of gigantic, fluffy homemade marshmallows. I must warn you though, all of the cookies will set you back about $5 each. I felt sort of bad (but not really) spending $15 for 3 cookies.
If it were Autumn, I'd love to have gotten a hot chocolate and a red velvet cupcake to go. Next time!
