rev:text	This company uses a traditional "bait and switch" tricks to entice customers to use their service. The latest and greatest is the "set your own price" guarantee. They don't tell you this is only for the 1st 6 months of service, then they jack the insurance price to whatever they feel like. And just as quick and easy as they let you sign up, they will let you cancel - this was the only great thing I found about Progressive. 6 months of basic service at average cost, followed by a 25% increase after the initial 6 months. No explanation, just a new bill for the next 6 months at their desired increase. In their defense, I did receive a 1 point moving violation during this 6 month period...the 1st one I've had in 3 years...and the one prior (3 years ago) dropped off in the same 6 months. No change in driving habits whatsoever. Bad business Progressive. It's not worth it to leave your current company only to go back 6 months later for better service and guarantees.
