I've had a credit card for almost 40 years which was acquired by Bank of America years ago when they took over a bank or purchased a credit card portfolio. I have not had a single late or missed payment ever. Recently they sent me a letter that said my account would be closed unless I gave them my date of birth, occupation, and source of income. It looked like a scam, why would they write such a threatening letter which seems to be phishing for information? I called customer service and they said it was legitimate. Nice way to treat your best customers.
