I have been going to Wednesday night meditation here for a couple of months. I really enjoy the session that is led by Shane.
The Saturday classes & Wed. meditation are led by Shane Wilson. I have learned a lot from Shane. I am in week 3 of an 8 week course based on a book by Bhante Gunaratana: Eight Mindful Steps to Happiness.
The setting is simple & clean, it is crowded sometimes but the center is planning on expanding.
It is nice to meditate in a place where peace abounds & you are surrounded by people from all walks of life. Wednesday night is Vipassna/Insight meditation. I registered for this group on Meet-up, but you can drop in also. I think they are also planning on adding a Sunday meditation session.
No one will EVER ask you for money or donations, but it is a Buddhist tradition to give dana (a free will donation).
They provide meditation cushions, but you are also welcome to bring your own if you like. They start promptly so try not to be late, because it's not fun to have people make lots of noise when you are trying to chill-ax your brain. :)
It's a bit tough to find because it is located in a non descript house on the west side of Temple St.
