Decided to grab a tote bag, kids and cash and get some fresh produce. Kamm's Market was closer than the West Side Market and it was open(Sunday). We got there as they were opening. I was a little surprised at how small it was. However, they had a variety of products. Homemade dog bones, gourmet pasta sauces, Fresh baked breads. Many of the stands were marked "organic" which might explain the prices. YIKES! I blew through my money in about 5 minutes. My strawberry purchase was disappointing- tiny and bitter.
My daughter said the Sourdough bread was the BEST she ever had and my son loved the fresh squeezed lemonade.
It was great to be outside supporting local farmers.
Produce prices were about the same as the local grocery, BUT,
they weren't covered in wax and weren't weeks old.
If you are in the area, give it a try.
