| rev:text | It's smaller than other Mountainsides, let alone other ones in Scottsdale. That being said, there's enough machines to get in a workout for all your needs. Then again, none of them can say they're next to an ice rink and a couple decent restaurants.
There's a spread - you got your cardio, your free weights, your machines. Somehow this location. You still got classes and trainers if you want them, plus they even managed to slip in a mini version of their cafe behind the check-in counter. Biggest thing though, while you do have enough to exercise everything, a lot of the machines/racks aren't in duplicate. So if you go at prime-time, say 5-7:30, you might have to expect a wait for what you want.
That being said, this location actually has more for stretching than even the Scottsdale location more than double its size. They have assisted stretching machines for the legs, which I think is nice for old people, injuries, etc.
All in all, it's a decent place for a gym and the memberships are fair. I have my gripes, like closing relatively early and somehow even early on Fridays/Saturdays, but that's a Mountainside-wide gripe and not central to this location. I'mma keep coming since it's close to my house. |
