  • I'm done with this place. I was with a group on the patio enjoying my cigar when I was approached by a man from inside that was a little less than polite. He said the cigar could be smelled from inside the building and had to move to the farthest end of the patio. I asked who he was and then at thst point he identified himself by name and indicated that he is the general manager. My background includes managing and owning a restaurant so it became a teachable moment. I gave him a polite dressing down as to how to address a situation like this in the future by introducing himself first by name and title before asking for action to be taken. I was beyond the legal distance from a door for smoking and no posting was present with regards to the patio smoking policy. Perhaps a small investment in a sign for the patio may save him in future embarrasment.
