| - Came here for a leaf blower because everyone else was closed on Sunday! (And anyone who follows my reviews knows I am completely drawn to local businesses over big box stores like Home Depot or Lowes...)
The store is in two buildings. The front building is for the typical consumer wanting pet supplies and seasonal goodies (like pumpkins and potted flowers). The back building has a sales showroom (top floor) and a service counter (bottom floor) for power equipment like ride-along tractors, deck mowers, snow throwers, wheeled and backpack leaf blowers, motorized carts, and more.
Important to note: these are good quality name brands like Honda, John Deere, Little Wonder, Stihl, SCAG, and Subaru/Robin. If you want cheap, low quality equipment, go elsewhere (i.e. Home Depot, Lowes). Come here for the quality stuff - it'll cost you more but will work right for years.
Excellent service. Tom, our salesman worked with us and our needs and let us demo the various units out right there on the property. No sales pressure or tactics - he was professional in every way. In the end we felt very good with our purchase, the warranty, and the fact that they service in-house everything they sell.
The front building has an amazing collection of necessities and gifts for the pet/wildlife-friendly folk. We were told this pet supply store opened 85 years ago during the Great Depression as a chick hatchery. Today, the animals are gone but they have in stock an amazing selection of quality goods such as higher-end and organic pet foods and treats, wholesome pet toys, a wide selection of bird & squirrel feeders, plus cool local & outdoor stuff like wind chimes, flannel shirts, Buckeye chocolate, and even their own homemade soda.
Truly a treat to come here. The secret to their success is obviously their emphasis on excellent quality goods from pet toys to lawn power equipment!
