| - Came here for the first time today to watch "The Girl On The Train". I can't boast enough about their cheap prices. I only paid $7 total with a student discount - most likely the cheapest theatre in Toronto you can find. Thank you!!
Everything was great. Popcorn, meal, and drinks are cheaper than your other big-name theatres. Washrooms were clean and well-maintained.
However, my only complaint was with the static and noises were heard during the movie. In auditorium #5, one of the speakers was emitting a loud static/ crackling noise intermittently throughout the entire movie. Moreover, unlike many other theatres I have been to, the lights on either side of the walls were not completely shut off.
After the movie, my group of friends and I, along with another older couple, asked to speak with the head manager. After waiting about 5 minutes, we brought our concerns to him. He was understanding and resonated with our situation, but was unaware of the problems in auditorium #5. After waiting another 10 minutes, he gave all of us (7 people in total) a free movie pass each to come back another time. (It expires December 31, 2016).
The head manager stated that we should have immediately gone to him during the movie when the speaker first made crackling noises. However, I thought this was slightly unreasonable, as none of us would have sacrificed missing 10-15 minutes to find, wait, and speak to the head manager (especially not during a psychological thriller movie)!
Regardless, my friends and I would absolutely come back to watch more movies! Their extremely cheap prices are simply incomparable to anything else offered in the city!
