The beer was OK but it wasn't anything I'd feel like I was missing out on in the future. Platform and Portside offer far more interesting and daring combinations that entice me to go back again and again.
I'm really a sucker for a great ambiance. I heard "Brick and Barrel" and started to think rustic, brick, dim lighting, basement/dive/old-world.
I suppose if you like to sit in a warehouse, surrounded by steel knobs, cranks, and beer-making gadgetry, you've found yourself a great environment.
There really wasn't much seating - nothing cozy. My boyfriend stood at our table the entire time. Perhaps if they moved the equipment out of the center of the establishment, they could provide more tables and chairs for patrons. Food for thought.
