| - Absolute garbage shopping experience. Walked in one Saturday afternoon with my friend and his wife. We stood around for a couple of minutes but no one came to assist us. So we flagged down someone and asked him to find someone who can help us.
Unfortunately, things quickly went downhill from here. We were introduced to Pious who proudly proclaimed that he was a former sales rep of 6 years at Harry Rosen (LOL was I supposed to be impressed?). Right off the bat he got my size wrong. After eyeing my size, he had me try on a suit that fit very nicely but he erroneously identified as a size 38. So he kept bringing me more size 38 suits to try on, but all of them were very baggy compared to the first one. So I decided to purchase the first suit. It was only during checkout that I noticed that it was actually a size 36 - no wonder the other suits didn't fit me.
After I pointed out the mistake to Pious, he responded with an unapologetic "oh really?" and brushed it off. By that time I had already spent 2 hours trying suits that didn't fit me (except 1), and I wanted to leave, so I reluctantly paid for the first only suit that fit and left the store. Throughout the entire encounter, Pious was gleefully yet obnoxiously calling out the brands I was wearing. First it was my shoes, then my belt, and finally my watch.
Unsatisfied, I decided to return to the store again the next day with my friend to try on more suits. We hoped that we would get someone else to help us this time, but to our dismay, Pious was assigned to us once again. He proceeded to display the utmost arrogance that I have ever seen from a sales rep. After indicating that we were here to try on more suits with the possibility of an exchange, it was clear that he did not want to spend more time assisting us because he had already closed the sale with commission a day prior and there is no new sale to be made. This is evidenced by the fact while trying on some new suits, he came by and cleaned out our change rooms because he didn't want us to "take up so much space" (his words), all while making disparaging comments like "that's ugly" and "disgusting" to my friend.
In addition, he repeatedly dismissed my inquires about other shades of blue and accused me of "nitpicking" and I quote "They're basically the same color. If you're going to nitpick about it, then I don't even know how you decide what to eat for dinner." (LOL) Instead of showing me the other colors, he told me to look at it myself on his iPad (which didn't work) and tell him afterwards which one I wanted to switch to. I used my own cellphone and picked out a similar blue suit but was $60 cheaper. In the end, he did not even bother to do the exchange for us and handed us off to another lady who completed the transaction.
As the suit I wanted was not in stock, it had to be ordered from the warehouse. It was shipped the next day (Monday). I patiently waited a week before finally calling customer service who told me that the suit actually arrived 4 days ago. I received no notification email, and of course no calls from Pious or anyone from the Toronto Suit Supply store to tell me that my suit arrived. So I decided to refund my suit and take my business elsewhere. Thank you John who was very courteous for processing my refund over the phone.
Lastly, I must point out that Pious has been posting fake reviews in an attempt to cover up his ineptness. Soon after the other recent negative review that called him out, two consecutive glowingly positive reviews of him followed. One of them actually spent half the review criticizing the negative review of Pious. There is no genuine reviewer that will criticize other people's reviews because you weren't there to experience what they experienced.
TLDR: Nice suits, but avoid sales rep Pious.
